Grey Drakes or Salmonflies?
One of life's toughest questions. I'll let you know what I decide.
My first dog, he and I have learned a lot about hunting and living with eachother, mostly through trial and error, and not regrettably so.
Whiterock Eisenhower 'Ike'
Ike came to me as a trial-dog washout. I am truly blessed to own this charming renegade of a bird dog.
Mesquite Ridge Doctor 'Doc'
Doc is a Grouse Ridge Reroy dog owned by a good buddy of mine, Wes Carrillo. I have yet to see a dog that can keep pace with him. He can impress all day long.

Both are tasty smoked over applewood.
Salmonflies are more fun, but generally a bit harder to hit right, in my experience. Tough choice, either way you're going to have a good time.
I like fishing salmonflies - golden stones, too!
Big dry flies fished in fast water along a bank or in pocket water... no hay mas fina!
